The Barbados Trident Series is unlike other collections. The Barbados Trident has maintained a mintage of 30,000 silver coins each year. While mintage in the series has remained steady, the background field on the reverse has offered up the variety the series needs to create continued demand.

Beautifully Detailed Design

The reverse design displays a trident head as found on the national flag. The Trident head is a powerful ancient symbol associated with the god Poseidon and control of the seas, the trident head features on the national flag of Barbados and is the focus of the design in this series. There is a beaded design border on this side of the coins.

The obverse features the national coat of arms for Barbados. The intricate coat of arms for Barbados features the Fig Tree at the center with the Pride of Barbados Flowers in the upper corners. A helmet above has a hand grasping two sugar canes at the top of the seal. The coat of arms is supported by a dolphin fish on one side and a pelican on the other.
