1928 Gold Certificate Series
The 1928 Gold Certificate Series holds a special place in American numismatic history, as it was the only such series to include small-size gold certificates. These notes are difficult to find and rather expensive. Fortunately, though, this replica commemorative is within reach. Privately minted and struck from .1g of .999 fine gold.
Exquisite GEM:
Dominating the reverse is a vignette of Independence Hall, the famous Philadelphia landmark at which the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution were debated and adopted.
At the center of the obverse is a portrait of one of America's most beloved Founding Fathers, Benjamin Franklin. Franklin is one of the most respected figures in American history. A politician, statesman, diplomat, scientist, inventor, and so much more, he is better known today than all but a handful of giants in American history.
Mint State Condition
This commemorative comes in sealed packaging from Paper Money Grading (PMG). It received a GEM grade, which means that it has above average centering and lacks any folds in the design.
